You read winter and if you're not from one of the temperate states, maybe you think snow. Well, my friends, this pet photography photo shoot does not have any snowy elements. In fact, on the day we photographed these four dogs and two cats on an estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the end of December, it was pretty darn toasty outside, right around 80 degrees. Some would actually call it hot, at least I know I was sweating when we were shooting outside the bright, brilliant sunlight of mid-day Los Angeles.

But anyway, I got a chance to photograph Cooper, Kitty, Scooter, Ink, Spotty and Titan. All with very distinct personalities.

I loved this shoot. Yes, it took a long time, what with six animals and multiple indoor and outdoor locations. It took just under four hours! Usually my shoots don't take that long but we had five locations in the house and two outside so that's a lot of setting up. I had another session with nine pets -- five cats and four dogs -- and that took quite a while but we photographed everything with studio lights and seamless paper so we were minimally readjusting lights but not the background. But that shoot did take five hours.

I digress. Back to this gorgeous shoot. Here are a few images we captured but if you really want to see the creme de la creme of the shoot, along with some select outtakes, you'll need to see the short little video.
