Nekkid Cats -- The Sphynx and Lykoi Photo Shoot

A friend of mine, Jayne Harrower, has a cattery in which her specialties are Sphynx and Lykoi cats. OK, for the uninitiated, Sphynx are hairless cats while Lykoi are known as the werewolf cat... they are a completely naturally occurring cat, not a designer cat, and they are awesome in their unusual look, which includes sparse fur on the top and almost no fur on their undercarriages (undercarriage may not be a technical term... that's what I call my cats' bellies). Jayne is breeding Lykois and she will have the first of them available in 2016. So exciting! Nekkid Cats -- The Sphynx and Lykoi Photo Shoot

I think you're gonna like it. I think you're gonna feel you belong here. Ha ha, that's an old Alice Cooper song, anyone else remember it? Totally dating myself.I made this little Halloween tableau of Channing, Jayne Harrower's awesome Lykoi cat, a few weeks ago and while you might have seen it on my Storytelling Sessions page, I didn't post it anywhere else because quite honestly, it's a little too creepy. Like American Horror Story: Feline. But it is Halloween and I've posted all of my other Halloween composites -- the blue dog, the witch cat and the Bengal in the forest. So here you go. Happy Halloween! And note the Yorkie's face in the portrait on the wall. Nice touch, no?

The veteran photographers produce exquisite images and they are very specific. I don't know what all the specifics are. I turned to my cat photography mentor and he gave me great advice but mostly I had to rely on what the owners wanted. This was both Channing's first show and his owner's first show. Jayne Harrower ...
