So... it's been a hectic time here at my worldwide headquarters. And that's because I vacated my worldwide headquarters. After 24 years, I'm not living in my house. No, no, not because I defaulted on my mortgage or got a divorce or got a job in a new state. No, my friends, my house is being remodeled. Pet photography in L.A.!You guys! You almost let me go all of May without a blog post! And surely you are waiting for one! I want to introduce you to Cosita, a much loved 13-year-old Pomeranian. Her owners, Don and Fernando, and I agreed to meet at a Los Angeles park. I'm not going to say which one. But it was one I'd never been to before though it's very iconic. It has views of downtown L.A. Spectacular.Anyway, we started off our shoot with the buildings of downtown in the background. For this shoot, I only brought my Fujifilm X-T2. Happiness is indeed a warm puppy, don't you agree? In honor of National Puppy Day, here's a puppy! Don't you just want to smell their breath and bury your face into their necks? Ugh. Puppies. I like working with The Little Red Dog so when PJ let me know there were nine puppies and a mama to be photographed, I was all in.Now these babies aren't ready for adoption quite yet... they're only four weeks old. But now they have their baby pictures all done! Mama was a sweet dog, too. I imagine very patient as well... nine puppies? That's a lot of puppies!It was 106 degrees out when we took the photos. Yes, outside. We set up our studio outside. It was hot, let me tell you. But no puppy was outside for more than two or three minutes so no one overheated. Plus, they were covered. I want to let Hope for Paws tell you all about this... don't worry, I will tell you about it here, too... but Lisa Arturo and I did four shoots yesterday, starting out on a beautiful Sunday morning in Hollywood and ending in a downpour in Santa Monica. We had a magnificent, hard day but it was just great and when you hear about it, you'll love what you see. But in the meantime, I am going to show you this little sneak peek.
