Happy National Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Wow. Morocco. I had the most fortunate opportunity to travel to Morocco in February. Such a beautiful country, culture and cuisine! I was on a tour with 18 other people and we went to most of Morocco's greatest hits over a two-week period of time. Casablanca, Rabat, Merzouga, Erfoud, Fes, Marrakech, Essaouira... Morocco was indescribable. The scents... from the cooking to the riads, the smells were of the seven most used spices in Moroccan food to the tantalizing perfumes of amber (my favorite), verbena, orange blossom, rose, and other exotic fragrances.I can't even begin to describe what an amazing experience it was. It turns out, Morocco is the most traveled country in Africa. I suppose ...

Happy National Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Not going to lie, the Untamed Beasts Traveling Circus and Slobber Show was a huge hit! The dogs were spectacular! Really! Here is a small sampling of these cuties. We plan on doing a lot more of these because they went over so well. We probably will do one in March in Thousand Oaks so if you want more information on that, just shoot me an email or subscribe to my newsletter. This one sold out for the six hours we photographed so no telling what our T.O. will do.You can see it's a vintage circus... not too juvenile, just a little bit of fun. When we do these group shoots, we like to give back to our rescues that do so much work for the animals in need. For this particular shoot, we gave ...

Happy National Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Oh yes we did! We photographed way more than 130 dogs at the inaugural Dogs's Day at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula this past Saturday. Whew, my friends... that's a lotta dog. But fun! So many cute dogs! Really! Turned out, the turnout was incredible, probably far more than the garden folk were expecting. And free dog photos was quite the draw! We had a line snaking around the lawn.We had great areas to photograph in, given that it's a botanic garden (that is not usually open to dogs, by the way). Our given area was a beautiful white gazebo. The morning started out quite foggy. So there was a nice soft box-like quality to the light. But as it went on, the clouds ...

Happy National Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Just a quick note... I just wanted to wish you all a safe, happy and fulfilling new year, all cuddled up with your fur babies. I had a great 2019 meeting so many of you and catching up with old friends. The new year is a great time to reflect on where we were and where we're going. I keep trying to think of fun things to do with all of you and how we can raise money for animals in need. I've got a few things brewing but if there's something you'd like to do, let me know. If you hit reply, your email goes straight to me so let's have a conversation! On a final note (see, told you I'd make this quick), photographing animals is the fulfillment of a lifetime for me. Who ...
