los angeles dog photographerBack from a trip to Arizona, hated to neglect my blog! So I raced home yesterday (raced being not quite the operative word since a bridge closure added an extra two hours on an already 10-hour drive) because I did not want to miss Moo's 25 percent off sale to get new pet photography marketing material. I loaded everything onto a portable hard drive so I could take it to Arizona with me to design it, packed up my computer, then... forgot the hard drive. But hey 25 percent off sales are what I live for when it comes to my marketing so I had to get back in enough time to design my new material.

My pet photography has been taking different twists and turns lately and it's hard to convey everything I do or everything I can do in just one design. That's what I love about Moo, which is where I buy my business cards and postcards and stickers. Not only does it have the finest quality material but if you buy 50 -- let's say postcards -- you can literally have 50 different designs on the front. Since I was creating these on deadline, I only managed to come up with four but that completely suits me as a pet photographer in Los Angeles. Two of my new designs are totally L.A. pet photography-centric, if I can use that phrase.

I have a lot of really nice images of dogs at the beach and I wanted to show that. Hey, it's Los Angeles, we have an ocean, it makes for a gorgeous setting for a pet photography session. We have Seamus looking through the lookout binoculars at the Santa Monica Pier, Carina chasing a ball in Long Beach, Csilla barking at a sailboat in Ventura, and Brigadier Hawkeye plowing through the water in Oxnard.

The second one I wanted to do was to showcase my more conceptual images. These are photography sessions that have a little something extra to them, whether it's props or backdrops or a setting. I'm showing three of them -- Finny as a super hero, baby Henry trapped in a bird cage taunted by a butterfly, and Maya as an alert camper wondering what's out there. Nice to see a kitty represented, right Henry?

My third postcard is the I Love L.A. postcard. This of course is putting your fabulous dog in front of an iconic Los Angeles setting. In this postcard, we have Amelie in the California wilds but with the Hollywood sign in the background, Seamus at Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier, another Seamus in front of Urban Lights at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Sam at Disney Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Oh, I have so many more ideas of iconic places -- and have photographed quite a few, including Hollywood Boulevard, but thought I would limit the card to these three.

Anyway, I really like these cards. I think they are simple but subtly dramatic. That's the kind of pet photographer I am. If you want this kind of dog or cat photography, I'm your photographer. Oh, number four postcard is a collage of just every kind of pet photography.

Do you want a unique session for your dog or cat? I want to be your pet photographer. I'm Diana Lundin, I'm in Los Angeles. Give me a call at 818.481.5214.
